Traveling with Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender Essential oil lavendula officinalis is one of those miracle oils that we turn to time and time again. It is both antiseptic and antifungal and so extrememly helpful when traveling to sunny climes as it can be used on a cut, bite or sting, instantly soothing. It is also a helpful mosquito and moth repellant and is often found in traditional remedies.

Lavender has been well documented as a nervine tonic and hence a great stress buster, be it to ease tension headaches or help with insomnia. But did you know that it can also help with lowering blood pressure and stabilising hormonal imbalances?

As with all essential oils, you must use your common sense and check that there are no contra-indications for you. Pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as diabetics are recommended to avoid use of Lavender Essential Oil. Dilute essential oils in a base of a neutral oil or water and use with a diffuser for the delicious soothing smell to evaporate throughout your space. Perfect for your bedroom before sleep.

At Serendip Store we sell the highest quality organic essential oil from Neal's Yard and have beautiful hand made diffusers from Sri Lanka.
